Compleo Health moves into historic Beehive Mill

Manchester-based regeneration company, Urban Splash, has announced a spate of deals in its commercial portfolio – with 20,796sq ft of space let in one month, including Compleo Health moving into Beehive Mill in the thriving Ancoats district.

Once home to Manchester nightclub, Sankeys, Beehive has been restored for a new generation.

Emma Gardiner of Urban Splash said: “The way we work continues to evolve, and it’s clear that business leaders have an appetite for well-designed, well-connected spaces in which their people can thrive.

“Buildings like Beehive Mill are great examples of that and we’re delighted to welcome our newest customers into those spaces.”

“There’s a definite shift in the Liverpool city market, which is moving towards sub-1,000 sq ft fitted units – so we’re proud to complete an unfitted space of this size”

Iceni Planning and Heritage was appointed by Urban Splash to lead the redevelopment of the Grade II-listed building, working closely with the architects, Maurice Shapero Studios; Bradley McClure; and Reform Landscape Architects to ensure that while the proposals for the site preserve the essence of the Beehive’s istory, they prioritise restoring a building which has been poorly mistreated for decades.
