Former nursing home sold to Cygnet Health Care
Christie & Co has announced the sale of a former nursing home in the residential area of Hyde, Greater Manchester.
Constructed in the mid-1990s, and set within 1.8 acres of lawned gardens, the purpose-built nursing home provides 100 en-suite bedrooms arranged across four care units, each set up to accommodate either residential, nursing, challenging behaviour, or mental health care.
The home has been vacant for a short period of time and received multiple competitive bids during a targeted marketing campaign.
Following a sales process with James Knight at Christie & Co, the property has been purchased by Cygnet Health Care.
Knight said: “I originally sold the home to my client and after several years under his stewardship, he instructed me to find a new owner.
“We ran a thorough campaign and received significant interest and market-leading bids from excellent operators across the region with Cygnet coming out on top.
“Cygnet’s investment and plans with the home are groundbreaking and I look forward to seeing the finished project in 2026.”
The home sold off an asking price of £3,800,000 and completed for an undisclosed price.
