Pharmacist friends, Bhavesh Patel, Viraj Parmar, and Pritpal Grewal, have purchased Balance Street Pharmacy in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.

A standard-hours, community pharmacy, it dispenses an average of 22,000 items per month and is located within a health centre in Balance Street in Uttoxeter.

The pharmacy has been owned by the health centre’s doctors for over 10 years, but they recently decided to sell as part of their retirement planning.

Following a confidential sales process with Carl Steer at Christie & Co, it has been purchased by the trio, who will run the business between them.

Steer said: “The sale of Balance Street Pharmacy was brought about by one of the GP partner owners wanting to retire, which spurred the decision for all partners to sell the pharmacy.

“After a period of marketing, we attracted two offers and agreed on a sale to the purchasers that was close to the guide price.

“Sales for high-volume pharmacies, in and out of medical centres, remain strong, with several similar sales due to complete across the Midlands in the coming months.”

Balance Street Pharmacy was sold for an undisclosed price.
