National Care Group, one of the UK’s leading adult social care providers supporting adults with learning disabilities, mental health diagnoses, acquired brain injuries, and autism, has announced the acquisition of Apple House Limited, an established specialist accommodation and support provider based in Bournemouth, Dorset.

Apple House offers personalised support opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and associated needs.

Operating over six locations in the Dorset area, Apple House provides accommodation and specialist support for up to 34 people.

Over the past 20 years, it has worked closely with the individuals it supports, their families, and commissioning services to develop and deliver consistent, high-quality, community-based, person-centred support.

Moving forward, National Care Group will work closely with local authorities, integrated care boards, colleagues, and all the people Apple House supports, to build on its reputation in the region.

The additional collaboration between Apple House and National Care Group’s existing services in the area will further strengthen its provision.

Mike Ranson, chief commercial officer at National Care Group, said: “Apple House has made a name for itself in Dorset. The services and support it provides and, most importantly, its person-centred ethos, fit well with the National Care Group philosophy.

“Our priority is to ensure a seamless transition for the individuals supported during the integration period, which we are confident will be achieved working closely with the dedicated team at Apple House.

“This strategic acquisition continues our drive to expand National Care Group’s footprint and highlights our growing ability to provide person-centred care throughout the UK.”

Jane Montrose and Romaine Lawson, directors of Apple House, added: “Having spent a significant amount of time dedicated to developing our services, growing alongside the individuals we support and the strong team, we felt the time was right to step back and entrust the future to new leadership.

“We spent a long time looking for an organisation that most closely mirrored the ethos and standards we have worked by, but could also take the organisation into the next chapter.

“As we got to know National Care Group, we were pleased and reassured that Apple House would be in safe hands to carry on the good work achieved over the last 20 years.”
