Untold Living, a developer and operator of retirement communities, has completed a £500,000 refurbishment of Chantry Court, its development in Westbury, Wiltshire.

The renovations significantly upgraded the WiFi infrastructure, security, lights, and building controls with a new door entry security system installed together with care assist systems and a completely-updated reception, lounge, and dining room.

At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Councillor Jane Russ, Mayor of Westbury, officially marked the completion of the refurbishment.

Chantry Court had been operating as a retirement community in Westbury for more than a decade before Untold Living acquired the site in 2022, with the aim of substantially investing in the estate to improve facilities and operations.

Since the acquisition, Untold Living has been operating a range of amenities for residents, including an onsite restaurant, library, hair salon, and multi-purpose activity room.

It also leads a varied activities programme designed to foster community and connection among residents, which is increasingly important in later life.

The new renovations will allow it to expand this programme.

Untold Living operates Chantry Court as an Integrated Retirement Community (IRC), which blends age-appropriate housing with tailored care to ensure residents can continue to live independently well into later life.

A directly-employed domiciliary care team is available on-site 24/7, offering a range of services that adapt to the needs of the individual resident, from light touch support to full care packages.

The investment at Chantry Court is part of Untold Living’s broader strategy to set a new standard for retirement communities, combining thoughtfully-designed spaces with an approach that puts residents’ individual needs above all else.
