Work set to begin on Trowbridge Integrated Care Centre
Work is set to begin on the £16m development of Trowbridge Integrated Care Centre.
Contractor, Tilbury Douglas, has been appointed to lead the project, located opposite the town’s community hospital.
Set to replace the hospital, the new facility, expected to be completed at the end of this year, will provide local people with an additional primary care service, more same-day urgent care provision, and space to support mobile diagnostic units.
The building is being developed by NHS Property Services and funded by NHS England, the Department of Health and Social Care, NHS Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board, and Wiltshire Council.
Paul Gale, regional director for the South West at Tilbury Douglas, said: “We are pleased that this important scheme has been given the go ahead and we can set to work delivering a state-of-the art medical facility that will serve the community for the long-term.”
Relocating services from the current Trowbridge Community Hospital to the new site will be phased as part of a planned relocation process.
The building has been designed by One Creative Environments.
