Hefma appoints David Moss as national chairman
David Moss has been appointed as national chairman of the Health Estates & Facilities Management Association (HEFMA).
Formerly national vice chairman, Moss takes over from Geoff Neild who had served as interim national chairman since April, when former Kay Mulcahy moved to a new position with the national team at NHS England.
A chartered chemical engineer, Moss joined the NHS in 2007 following a career in the private sector.
And, for the last two years, he has held the position of director of estates and facilities at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.
Moss is moving closer to home and starting as executive director of estates and facilities at Bradford Teaching Hospital in August.
Among his first tasks in the role of national chairman will be a review of the strategy to be launched at Forum 2025 and to undertake a survey of all members to identify what they want from their membership of the association.
Chris Todd (West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust) and Geoff Neild (Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust) have also been confirmed as national vice chairmen.
