Midlands operator buys Staffordshire care home
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Ashcroft Hollow care home in Staffordshire.
Ashcroft Hollow is a ‘Good’-rated care home registered for up to 45 residents in the categories of residential and nursing care.
It occupies a two-storey, purpose-built property located in the Staffordshire village of Cannock.
The home has been owned by Ramesh Dalton and Ravi Selliah since 2013 and was brought to market to allow the pair to concentrate on their businesses in other regions.
Following a sales process with Paul Reilly at Christie & Co, it has been sold to regional operator, Northgate Healthcare, which owns four homes across the West Midlands.
Ashley Haines, director at Northgate Healthcare, said: “With the purchase of Ashcroft Hollow now complete, this adds another nursing home to Northgate Healthcare’s portfolio.
“Modernising the home with a refurbishment programme is underway and our future thoughts are on a lapsed planning extension which, when granted, will increase the size of the nursing home to 57 single en-suite bedrooms.”
Reilly adds: “Ashcroft Hollow was sold following a confidential process with me speaking to Northgate Healthcare as a quality regional operator wanting to expand its portfolio in the region.
“The sale was completed following an off-market process which shows that we, at Christie & Co, have qualified buyers looking to purchase good-quality care homes.”
Ashcroft Hollow was sold for an undisclosed price.
