Berkshire care home sold to first-time buyer
Fourways Residential Home in Sandhurst, Berkshire, has been sold to first-time buyer, Saieja Sasikaran.
The home is registered for 20 residents in the categories of old age and dementia and has an overall CQC rating of ‘Good’.
The home has 19 bedrooms spread across the ground and first floors, 17 of which have en-suite facilities.
The home was purchased by AV Atkinson (Fourways) Ltd in 2006 and, since then, has been refurbished and upgraded.
The business was brought to market as the owners were looking to concentrate on other interests.
Following a confidential sales process with Charles Phillips at Christie & Co, and with funding sourced through Neil Collins at Christie Finance, the home has been purchased by experienced care practitioner and first-time buyer, Sasikaran.
Sasikaran said: “I have been looking to purchase my first care home having been involved in operating care homes for my family for a number of years and, with Fourways being nearby for me, I thought this would be an ideal purchase.
“I am looking forward to getting to know the staff, residents and their families and building on the home’s good reputation.”
Phillips adds: “Having known Rowen for about 15 years, I was very pleased to be asked to confidentially market Fourways for him. A very good level of interest was expressed in the home, and I am confident that Saieja will be very successful with her new venture.
“The sale of this care home shows there is strong demand for homes of this size throughout the South.”
Fourways Residential Home was sold for an undisclosed price.
