Exemplar Health Care opens Staffordshire home

  • 20th June 2025

Construction work has been completed at Coronation Court, a 33-bedroom care home in Cannock, Staffordshire, which will provide nursing care for adults living with complex needs arising from brain injuries, dementia, mental health conditions, neuro and physical disabilities.

Residents are now moving into the home, which is owned and operated by Exemplar Health Care after work was completed by Midlands-based Deeley Group.

The three-storey home is split into three units to provide smaller groups with communal spaces, an activity hub, therapy room, hair salon, and large accessible garden.

It also features solar panels and air source heat pumps as well as three electric vehicle charging points in the car park.

This is the fourth development completed by Deeley Construction for Exemplar, with the partnership delivering care homes across the East and West Midlands.

Paul Simmons, head of construction at Exemplar Health Care, said: “Our aim is to make every day better for the people we support by delivering person-centred, nurse-led care that empowers individuals to maximise their independence, build everyday living skills, and lead fulfilled lives.

“Coronation Court will not only provide much-needed complex care services for local people, but will also create a broad range of rewarding healthcare career opportunities for those passionate about making a difference.

“This is an incredibly-exciting time for Exemplar Health Care and the people we support as we continue to invest in meeting the health and care needs of communities across Staffordshire, while contributing positively to the local economy and community.”

Martin Gallagher, managing director at Deeley Construction, added: “This is a development which will have a lasting impact on the community in Cannock and provide vital care for adults with complex needs for many years to come.

“Coronation Court is the latest development we have completed in partnership with Exemplar Health Care, with two other projects already on site across the Midlands.”
