A & R Care portfolio sold to Arishta
A & R Care has been sold to Arishta in a deal brokered by Redwoods Dowling Kerr.
The transaction marks the transfer of two residential care homes – Beechwood House and Barrington Lodge Nursing Home – along with two additional residential flats, to the established healthcare operator.
The care homes are registered for a combined total of 66 residents, operate with a high occupancy, and deliver specialist nursing and residential care across a broad range of complex needs. These include dementia, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and mental health conditions.
Both homes hold a ‘Good’ rating with the CQC and are located within close proximity to one another.
With the client looking to semi retire, healthcare business broker at Redwoods Dowling Kerr, Mohammad Member, identified the ideal buyer in Arishta.
Backed by ARIVANT Holdings, a UK-based private investment firm founded by successful tech entrepreneurs, Arishta has acquired its first care home business in what marks a milestone move into the healthcare and social care sector.
Known for partnering with high-potential operators, Arishta focuses on enhancing continuity and quality of care as patients move through the pathway, delivering outcome-based, efficient, and patient-centric healthcare.
Kalpesh Shah, executive chairman at Arishta, said: “Our vision is to build a platform that delivers patient-centric, technology-enabled care.
“With Redwoods’ support, we can find quality business to accelerate acquisitions and invest in UK healthcare that will deliver better outcomes across the communities.”
Member added: “It has been a pleasure to facilitate the sale of this high-quality care group.
“We’re confident Arishta will continue to build on the strong foundations laid by the previous owners, maintaining the outstanding level of care and community that the homes are known for.”
