Inaugural sale of Sheffield village pharmacy

  • 21st October 2025

High Green Pharmacy in Sheffield has been purchased by Osman Zarroug of Pharmatique Health, who plans to expand its services offering.

Established in 2013 by Manish Gupta and Partners, High Green Pharmacy is a 72-hour community pharmacy that dispenses an average of 9,300 items per month.

It sits within a Morrisons Daily convenience store and is located in Wortley Road, a residential street in the village of High Green, Sheffield, just 150 yards away from a busy medical centre.

Following a confidential sales process with Tom Young at Christie & Co, and with funding sourced through Alena Ray at Christie Finance, it has been sold to first-time buyer Zarroug for an undisclosed sum.

Young said: “High Green Pharmacy was a unique opportunity with it being situated in a convenience store, and I was unsure how the market would perceive this.

“However, I was delighted with the response received, which resulted in multiple offers, all of which were above the guide price, which shows the high demand for pharmacies in South Yorkshire.”

Ray added: “Navigating the lending market as a first-time buyer can be complex, but with the right lender relationships and project management, I was able to structure a solution for Osman that aligns with his current and future growth plans.”
