North Yorkshire care home changes hands
Oaklands Care Home in Kirk Hammerton, North Yorkshire, has been sold to Oak Care Home Services for an undisclosed sum.
Oaklands is a long-established, traditional care home that is registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide care for up to 44 service users.
It is set on its own grounds with spacious outdoor areas for residents and visitors to enjoy, and is located in the quiet residential village of Kirk Hammerton, which is halfway between York and Harrogate and less than a mile east of the A1 motorway.
The home was previously owned by Maria Mallaband Care Group (MMCG).
Following a confidential sales process with Jonathan Wickens at Christie & Co, it has been purchased by Jaimon Lukose, director of Oak Care Home Services and also a director of Tancred Hall Care Services, which operates Peacock Manor Nursing Home in nearby Whixley.
Lukose said: “Oaklands Nursing Home has been acquired by Oak Care Home Services Ltd, a company recognised for its commitment to high-quality, person-centred care.
“We are thrilled to incorporate this home into our portfolio and are eager to deliver exceptional dementia care for the residents of Kirk Hammerton and North Yorkshire.”
Wickens added: “There was multiple interest in this quality asset, and we are pleased to see the home transfer to an operator who already has experience in the local market and will be able to bring synergies from his existing business.”
