Care home approved for Newbury, Berkshire

  • 29th May 2024

Planning permission has been granted for the erection of a part-four-storey, part-five-storey 68-bed care home in Newbury, Berkshire.

Following the completion of the first phase on the adjacent site, which now offers supported accommodation, the proposed care home has been designed to be able to provide for the full range of care needs for an individual, including complex nursing care, and for those living with multiple long-term conditions.

The proposed building features dual access with the main entrance on the ground floor opening into a café seating area, providing opportunities for socialising in the communal heart of the home.

And south-facing balconies and landscaped garden will provide the future residents with their own private and secure external amenity space within the centre of Newbury.

The facility has been designed by Carless + Adams.
