Christie & Co has completed the sale of Crofton Lodge & Waterside care home in Hill Head, Hampshire.

Crofton Lodge is a care home for eight residents in the category of learning disability and mental health, and Waterside is attached to the property and comprises three supported living flats.

The properties are located close to the seafront in Hill Head and benefit from all single bedrooms on the ground floor.

Within Crofton Lodge is a specialist enablement unit which has six en-suite bedrooms, all of which have kitchenettes.

Crofton Lodge & Waterside was previously owned by Auckland Care Holdings for 11 years and they were brought to market to allow the former owner to concentrate on his supported living business.

Following a confidential sales process with Charles Phillips at Christie & Co, and with funding sourced through Gary Boyce at Christie Finance, the businesses have been purchased by Impact Care-UK Limited, which owns and operates a home care business in Hampshire.

Trinity Munowenyu, managing director at Auckland Care Holdings Ltd, said: “Having purchased Crofton Lodge as a closed care home and developed it into a specialist home along with Waterside supported living flats, I am delighted to be handing our business over to Impact Care-UK Limited so it can carry on our good work.”

Charles Mugagga, managing director at Impact Care-UK Limited, adds: “Having operated our domiciliary care business in Hampshire since 2021, we made the strategic decision to move into the care home sector.

“After visiting Crofton Lodge, we felt this was an ideal business for us and we are pleased to have concluded a purchase.”

And Gary Boyce, director at Christie Finance, said: “Through our widespread relationship with banks, we were able to obtain a funding package to purchase the home and enable their exciting plans to become a reality.

“I look forward to seeing these plans come to fruition and the business go from strength to strength.”

Crofton Lodge & Waterside were sold for an undisclosed price.
