Local couple buys established Kent pharmacy

  • 28th April 2025

Swanley Pharmacy in Kent has been sold to husband-and-wife team, Ashish and Devi Patel.

The standard-hours community pharmacy dispenses an average of 10,000 items per month and is located in Swanley Shopping Centre in the heart of the Kent town of Swanley.

The pharmacy has been owned by Allcures since 2015 and was brought to market as part of a strategic divestment.

Following a confidential sales process with Mark Page at Christie & Co, it has been sold to Ashish and Devi Patel, who already own a part share in another pharmacy in south London.

The couple plan to improve the business’s services offering and increase the over-the-counter products available.

Page said: “The sale of this busy community pharmacy demonstrates the demand from the independent market for corporate disposals.

“We received multiple offers for this volume pharmacy, which saw increased item numbers due to the recent closure of the neighbouring Boots Chemist in 2023.”

Swanley Pharmacy was sold for an undisclosed price.
