New owners for established Weston care home

Nashley House residential care home in Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset, has been purchased by experienced operator, Eqvitus Ltd, which owns two other homes located in Maidenhead and Reading.

Nashley House is a highly-respected residential care home that is registered for up to 51 residents.

It is located in a quiet conservation area in the coastal town of Weston-super-Mare and stands in a mature garden on the south side of the town.

Built in 1903 as a private residence, the house has seen many changes, but today it provides a comfortable, elegant, home-from-home environment for later living.

The home has been owned by Ingrid O’Brien and Cliodhna O’Sullivan since 2015, but, following a confidential sales process with Oliver McCarthy at Christie & Co, it has been purchased by an Eqvitus Ltd.

O’Brien and O’Sullivan, former owners of Nashley House, said: “It was a hard decision to sell Nashley House, but we wanted to explore other business options outside the sector.

“We are pleased to be handing the keys over to the team at Eqvitus Ltd which, we’re sure, will build on the great reputation we have built up over the last nine years.”

McCarthy adds: “The care market remains extremely buoyant for both small and large care facilities in the South West of England.”

Nashley House was sold for an undisclosed price.
