Refurbishment work completed at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital
Redpath Construction has completed an upgrade to Ward 62 at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
The Neurosurgery building contains neurosurgery and OMFS theatres, interventional radiology services, critical care HDU and ITU departments, imaging services, and wards.
The upgrade comprised the refurbishment of en-suites to single bedrooms including wet floors, replacement flooring, ceilings, sanitary ware, IPS panelling, base and wall units, minor joinery works, decoration works, replacing lighting, and improving water services.
Similar works were also undertaken within the HDU and ICU departments following repairs to underground drainage systems.
As part of the project’s community benefit commitments, the team also refurbished two family rooms to give staff and loved-ones a private and calm space.
The £1.2m project was commissioned by NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.
