Joe Harrison CBE joins Channel 3 Consulting as strategic advisor
Joe Harrison CBE is joining Channel 3 Consulting as strategic advisor, bringing national insight and frontline experience to support the company’s next phase of growth across health and care.
A recognised leader in digital transformation across the NHS, Harrison is chief executive of Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and national director for digital channels at NHS England.
His work has helped shape some of the most-ambitious digital innovations in the sector, from advancing the NHS App and NHS.UK, to delivering one of the most-digitally-mature hospitals in the country.
As strategic advisor, he will support Channel 3’s growing influence across the NHS and local government, advising on how digital can be used more effectively to improve outcomes for patients, staff, and organisations.
And his appointment reflects the firm’s continued focus on enabling system-wide change that is clinically-led, locally-owned and nationally aligned.
Harrison said: “I’m pleased to be joining Channel 3 at such a pivotal moment.
“I’ve worked with the team and know the impact they make on the ground.
“They combine strategic thinking with delivery that works, which is exactly what systems need right now.
“Digital transformation can’t be theoretical. It needs to be connected to the reality of clinical practice, organisational pressures, and service improvement.
“Channel 3 understands that and I’m looking forward to helping expand its influence and support even more organisations to deliver meaningful change.”
Leo Jones, chief executive of Channel 3 Consulting, added: “Joe brings enormous credibility, insight, and leadership at a time when the NHS is under pressure to deliver smarter, joined-up digital change.
“His national perspective and operational understanding will strengthen the work we’re doing across systems, from EPR programmes and strategic transformation, to the development of new models of care.
“As we continue to grow, our focus is clear: helping clients move from strategy to impact, and building solutions that genuinely change lives.
“Joe’s appointment will play a key role in that.”
His appointment follows a series of strategic hires and organisational developments as Channel 3 expands its focus across health, care, and education.
Joe McCarry has joined as executive partner, with a focus on business development and strategic growth across the NHS and wider public sector.
And Anna Littlewood joins as client director, bringing over a decade of experience as a hands-on transformation leader across local government and the NHS.
Channel 3 has also established a new children’s services and education team. This will support local authorities and system partners to use digital to improve outcomes for children, young people, and families, embedding technology at the heart of inclusive, joined-up services.
